In co-operation lies the strength, in co-ordination lies the beauty, in preserving the roots of a culture lies its value . The Visually challenged students of Netra Vidyalaya, students of JIMS Medical college and students of Veda Vidyalaya, JET have all together hosted 72nd Independence Day Celebrations at JIVA, Campus.

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji said, ‘It is the soul of our country, that helped us withstand many invasions at different levels from centuries. Our duty now cannot aim or stop only at cleansing and improving the physical and materialistic condition of the country, but it should go to the intellectual level. Vedas are the soul of this nation – teaching us to share and not steal, dedicate and not dominate, tyaag and not bhog, invite and not invade…! Why did Gandhiji choose non-violence? It’s because non-violence is part of the soul of our nation.

Devote some time to learn and practice things that form the soul of this nation. React to every illegal and unconstitutional act that you see around! Let this nation flourish because the entire world can truly benefit when Bharath revives its pride, the culture and its values.’

It was a splendid sight to watch visually challenged children do the honorary parade trained by NCC. It was extra-ordinary to watch students learning Vedas also excel in Karate. It was great to watch JIMS medical college students present a humour-filled and yet a very inspiring conversation on our country, Bharath! Students of Veda Vidyalaya and Netra Vidyalaya spoke in Sanskrit. JIMS Medical college students sang their hearts out in praise of the nation.

Mrs. Nina Nanda ji is a daughter in law of an ex-airforce officer. She is also the daughter of an ex-navy officer. She is the wife of an ex-army officer. She was so impressed watching all the children at JIVA, could not contain herself and said, ‘If children are being raised this way in our country, then every drop of bloodshed by army men can be considered worth it!

Samudral Ranga Charyulu

‘Question yourself – Am I working hard enough to feel worth of the comforts that I am enjoying? If not, you are just abusing what you have. It is going to take you down! ‘

-Doctor Sriman Samudrala Rangaramanujacharya ji

Ahobila Jeeyar Swami‘Do not let your love for country restrict to this day, Independence Day. Let it inspire you throughout the year. Set some goals and make sure the goals are tied to serve the nation. Work for them throughout the year and measure your progress. Let it not be like the milk that comes down as soon as the heat comes low!’

-Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami ji

Devanatha Jeeyar Swami‘This is the land where history is made, not where history is just read! This is proved today as well right here at the JIVA campus. The visually challenged students never in the history of the land did such a great job in the parade of the Independence Day! So many such examples exist. But, long ways to go to stabilise and reach the earlier stage of our nations pride!’

-Sri Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami ji

The environment was filled with wisdom, laughter, action items and not least, yummy sweets to all the audience!
