2013 May 19: Divya Saketham

On the 3rd day of the 4th Bramhothsavam at Divya Saketham, the sacred bath was given to Lord Ramachandra Swamy followed by Special Puja to Lord Ranganatha Swamy on the first tier. Later, The Great Lord Ramachandra, holding His magnificent bow and arrow, gave darsan to all the devotees sitting on the shoulders of His beloved devotee Hanuman (Hanumantha Vahana Seva) – A Memorable Divine Sight! Riding on Vayu Puthra Hanuman, The Lord entered the huge mantapam for edurukollu uthsavam where mother Sita was waiting sitting on Hamsa Vahanam. It was a delightful sight for everyone!

2013 May 18 From 8:00 am: Divya Saketham

Amidst resounding chanting of “Jai Srimannarayana” and appropriate Vedic manthras, the sacred flag of Garuda was hoisted atop the Dhvaja Sthambham by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji which symbolizes invitation to all devathas for the Bramhothsavams . Later, Agni Prathishttha and Sri Lakshmi Narayana Asthotthara Puja were performed.

Simultaneously, as part of Sri “Ananda Nilaya Venkateswara Swamy” Prathishttha in the JIVA Campus, Yagasala Prathishttha, Agni Prathishttha, Chathusthanarchana, Panchagavya Snapanam, Chayadhivasam, Purnahuthi were also performed.

2013 May 17th 9:00 am: Divya Saketham

Marking the auspicious occassion of 4th Bramhothsavam of Divya Saketha Kshethram, the first sacred bath (uthsava arambha snapana thirumanjanam) was given to the Perumals in the three-tier temple in the divine presence of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Sri Devanatha Jeeyar Swamiji along with large number of devotees who came from all corners bearing the summer heat only to cool down in the grace of The Supreme Lord at Divya Saketham.

2013 May 14: Faridabad, UP

Bhagavad Ramanuja Jayanthi was grandly celebrated at Faridabad, UP in North India by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji along with Sri Phalahari Swami and large number of devotees where the traditional holy bath was given to the uthsava murthi of Ramanuja, later adorned with wet turmeric and tulasi garland. Special aradhana was performed to the foremost Sri Vaishnava Acharya, who was the incarnation of A:disesha, who descended into this world for the upliftment of souls per the order of Lord Srimannarayana.

Bhagavad Ramanuja is the Acharya incarnation of Lord’s divine serpent A:disesha, who was sent to this earth to uplift people by providing them right knowledge and easiest path to the grace of Lord – Sarana:gathi (Surrender). He revived ancient Vedic tradition & worship and established devotion towards Lord Srimannarayana in the world by propagating the message of the great devotees known as A:lvars. He travelled the length and breadth of India renovating & reforming temples by putting them into correct Vedic practices. He was the first person to advocate and allow ‘everyone’ for the darsan of The Lord in temples. He is the only one who was accepted by Lord Srimannarayana as His own acharya – A Great Matchless Honor!

Endless are the incidents in the chapters of Bhagavad Ramanuja’s life. It is impossible to record them all. However, here are a few of the divine incidents that eloquently testify the Greatness of Ramanuja:

1. Lord Ranganatha of Sri Ranga Kshetram declared Himself that all the riches of Sri Vaikunttham (Paramapadam) as well as all the riches of this materialistic world including of this earth, were placed at Ramanuja’s disposal.

2. Lord Srinivasa confirmed this divine grant (of Lord Ranganatha) by His holy word too. A milkmaid by name Tumbaiyur Kondi was supplying curd to Ramanuja. Once, when Ramanuja was on his way to Tirupati, the woman appeared and presented her bill for payment for the daily supply of curd. Ramanuja commanded Kidambi-Acchan to give her prasadam in the mutt. She ate and coming to Ramanuja, prostrated to him and submitted to him that she had a favor to ask. She said, “Holy sire, I desire not payment in money for the curd, but grant me Moksha instead!” Ramanuja replied, “That power I do not possess. Lord Srinivasa alone can grant your prayer.” Then, the woman said, “Kindly give me a written permit to take to Lord Venkateswara”. Ramanuja, overcome by her faith towards The Lord of Seven Hills, gave her the written permit. She, then immediately started to ascend the sacred hills of Tirumala. Hardly after climbing a distance, The Great Lord Srinivasa Himself met her on the way. Receiving the written permit of Ramanuja, The compassionate Lord Venkateswara gave her Moksha on the spot. Such was the greatness and respect to Bhagavad Ramanuja (given by The Lord of Tirumala Himself)

3. Lord Varadaraja of Kanchipuram proved the greatness of Ramanuja on two occassions:

The Lord appeared once in Yadavaprakasa’s dream and commanded that – The circumambulation of the world for a would-be sanyasi was accomplished by circumambulating around Ramanuja once.

The second occassion when Lord Varadaraja of Kachipuram proved the greatness of Ramanuja:

When hot debates on tatvam waged between Ramanuja and Yajnamurthi and the latter was scoring points for victory, The Lord Himself appeared in Ramanuja’s dream and suggested that certain Vedic passages could be quoted which would level the opponent to the ground, defeating him. As said by the Lord, the next morning, the opponent was thoroughly vanquished.

2013 May 12: Dhanghadi, Nepal

Sa:moohika Upanayanams (Initiation into the sacred thread ceremony to do Sandhya Vandanam, Gayathri Manthra Japam and other sacred Vedic duties) were peformed under direct guidance, grace and supervision of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji to young aspirants.

2013 May 8 to 15: Nepal

HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji along with His entourage is in Nepal to promote the great Vedic tradition, culture, values and right education to children through “Prajna” transforming knowledge into action. HH Sri Swamiji along with scores of devotees participated in the temple prathishttha program of Lord Lakshmi Narayana along with Nammalvar, Bhagavad Ramanuja and Manavala Mahamuni.

2013 May 5: Nadigaddapalem, AP, India

In the divine presence of HH Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji, erstwhile Sriman Bharath Swami was blessed with tridandam and sacred orange robes by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamij to be named as HH Sri Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji (named after Sri Nrusimha Perumal called as Devanatha at Thirukoshtiyur)  in the presence of scores of devotees and HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji amidst chanting of appropriate Veda manthras in the divine sannidhi of HH Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji here at Nadigaddapalem. Later, HH Sri Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji pledged to put all His efforts for the propagation of Bhagavad Ramanuja Sampradayam in the divine footsteps of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji to the delight of all the assembled devotees.

2013 Apr 19: Divya Saketham, AP, India

Sita Rama Kalyano:thsavam was grandly performed at Divya Saketham in the divine presence of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji & HH Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji.

This celestial wedding is conducted every year on ‘Sri Rama Navami’ day, the birthday of Lord Vishnu’s ‘human’ incarnation as Sri Rama.

The wonderfully decorated deities of Sri Rama and Sita Devi were made to sit on the flower-bedecked Ranga mandapam and the Divya Saketham priests conducted the celestial wedding ceremony by following the procedures laid down in the scriptures in the presence of acharyas, scholars and large number of devotees.

Later, the new bride and groom were taken on a colourful procession around the temple and JIVA campus to the delight of everyone.
‘Muthyala Thalambralu’- The showering of pearls on Sita & Rama was carried on with great fervor.
As tradition, ‘pa:nakam – the sweet drink made up of jaggery and water’ and ‘vadapappu – the soaked mong dal’ were offered to The Lord and distributed to devotees.
‘Sri Rama Pattabhishekam’ (coronation ceremony) was also performed.

In the evening, ‘Sri Rama Darbar’ – the grand assembly was held in the presence of Sita sametha Kalyana Rama, a:lvars and acharyas, where devotees enjoyed Sita Rama Sankirtanas on a cool breezy night. Later, divine akshathas with pearls showered on Sita Rama were distributed to devotees and volunteers who contributed their time & effort to the cause of various service activities of JET, VT and JIVA.
