The first Junior college of its kind exclusively for the Blind and Visually Challenged was inaugurated on Aug 31, 2007 and is functioning at Shamshabad, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The junior college provides FREE education along with FREE boarding, clothing, basic medical facilities, for low socio-economic underprivileged blind students. There are currently about 71 blind students and 17 lecturers (most of them are visually challenged too) at the college in Hydrabad, AP, India. There is lot of energy and excellent vision of life in each of the visually challenged students at the college. Please visit the college to have first hand eye opening experience.
