HH Sri Swamiji arrived at Houston on Oct 19th afternoon. JET (S) President Sriman Ch. Ramachandrareddy already arrived a week before HH arrival to look after the arrangements. Sriman Bangar Reddy, Sriman Tamirisa Srinivasachary, Active members and volunteers of JET and VT along with many devotees received HH at the airport in a grand way.

On 20th, a series of meetings were held by HH , with the participants and interested volunteers who are active in the local service activities. In the evening HH Sri Swamiji blessed a wonderful discourse at the Vedic Centre.

On 21st, Vijayadasami day, after Thirttha Goshtti, HH blessed the Dasara Message to the devotees at the Vedic centre. Then, during Vijaya Muhurtham, the Vedic Learning Centre Hall was inaugurated by HH. Vasthu Puja and homam were performed by the priests. After entering into the hall, HH blessed Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Puja to the devotees. About 400 devotees took part with great devotion on this auspicious occasion. This was followed by SAMEE PUJA, for which a SAMEE plant was brought by one of the devotees !

HH Sri Swamiji announced the JET HOUSTON adhoc committee members.
HH Sri Swamiji gave some guidelines to the proposed project of Ashtalakshmi Temple to bring it in the most authentic way as a model, for the prosperity and benefit of the community. The board of the Ashtalakshmi temple have requested JETUSA to take over and manage the temple project and activities, so that it runs under authentic guidance promoting spiritual activities in a prescribed way. The JET Houston adhoc committee shall facilitate the temple committee to finish the process of this amalgamation.

Devotees expressed their happiness and thanked JETUSA for promoting more activities for the sake of the local community directly under the able guidance of HH Sri Swamiji. President Sriman Vishnu Reddy, Secretary Sriman Srinivas, Treasurer Sriman Sarma Allakki, Ex President Smt. Chitra Madhavan were present on this occasion of Vijaya Dasami to start the JET Houston Chapter.

The inspiration by HH Sri Swamiji moved one and all and the guidelines given by HH Sri Swamiji were readily accepted by all the members and the devotees in regard to the temple and its purpose.

On 22nd and 23rd, evening from 7.30 to 10.00 HH blessed the discourses on the topics of where God exists, how He exists, how do we SEE Him and His forms, what is the importance of temples, what is their purpose and how to take care of them etc.

HH Sri Swamiji is going to DALLAS on 25th OCT after the programme at Houston.

Sri Swamijiconducted Finals of the Quiz programme for the topic "Pithru De:vo: bhava". HH blessed the participants and their wonderful performance. A Cash Award was also given to the finalists first second and third teams. Next quiz series will start on the topic of "Aacharya Devobhava"

Scholars Sriman U.Ve. T.P.Sriramachandracharyulu and Sriman S.V.Rangaramanujacharyulu have graced the occasion and said that the programme of JIVA taken up by HH Sri Swamiji is going to be the unique and highly useful to the whole Mankind in the nearest future. Sanskrit Vidyapeet Vice Chancellor attended the Chathurmasyam conclusion programme and felt extremely happy for the great contribution of HH Sri Swamiji to the World. He extended his full support to the project of JIVA. HH Sri Swamiji blessed the children of the Sanskrit Vidyapeet with the gift of His divine grace through the Vice Chancellor.

HH Sri Swamiji started Chathurmasya Deeksha at JIVA, Shamshabad, Sriramanagaram Asramam...

On 27th July, On auspicious A:sha:dda Pu:rnima day HH Sri Swamiji took Chathurma:sya Deeksha at Shamshabad , Sriramanagaram, JIVA Asramam at Hyderabad amidst Vedic Chantings while the Agama rituals are performed by the scholars in a pure traditional way recommended by Sasthras. A number of devotees came to take the blessings of HH Sri Swamiji. After the Vedic oblations and the A:ra:dhana, Thirttha Goshtti began at 4 P.M. HH Sri Swamiji offered Mangalasasanams to all the devotees for their devotion and serving the divine cause.

HH gave complete discourses (in Telugu) almost sloka by sloka of Sriramayanam first chapter ie., first Ka:nda called Ba:la Ka:nda during previous chathurmasyam in 2005 here. This was also telecast in MAA TV every day from morning 5 to 6 AM. This year, as per the repeated requests of a number of devotees, HH announced that SriRamayanam will be continued from the next Ka:nda called Ayo:dhya Ka:nda. These discourses will be from 8.00AM to 10 AM and Thirttha Goshtti will be at 10.30 AM every day.

Devotees are requested to observe the timings and enjoy the nectar of the divine messages along with near and dear.

On 27th July 2007 HH Sri Swamiji inaugurated the new building of the Jeeyar Gurukulam, a school for Tribals in remote areas, at Beersaipet, in the Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh. The school is run by JET Society providing totally free Education and many other facilities to those poor Tribal children. When the school was started 4 years back, there were thatched huts in which about 150 children were studying. As there is more need to really educate the deserved people in such remote areas where not even governments are going, HH Sri Swamiji took the daring step of providing free education to those children inspiring the families and the people over there. The school is initiated, developed and maintained all by JET in total. Though many promises come from departments and officials, they are yet to come to generously support this noble venture. However, HH Sri Swamiji, by inspiring the philanthropists to serve those Tribals and by encouraging the local people to educate their children, is successful in making this project highly successful. After the school came in this area, there was a great change in the total living of the whole village. Parents are happy and children come to school with a lot of interest and dedication to learn new things every day. Children were given training in Yoga, discipline, and also in various cultural activities in addition to their regular studies. The Trust is trying to provide as much of facility possible to educate and develop those uncared people and their families.

HH Sri Swamiji was invited by the local Tribals in their native style with dances and drums. The whole village looked in the festive mood. Every one was trying to do some service to the people coming, in the way possible to them. A rare sight to see in cities ! Their spirit was highly appreciated by those who attended the programme from other places. People over there are very happy for the blessings of HH Sri Swamiji because of which their children are able to go to school and learn good things. JET Society President Sriman Ch.Ramachandra Reddy and the members of JET along with many well wishers, village heads and the government officials, welcomed HH Sri Swamiji. HH Sri Swamiji blessed all the members of JET and also the local authorities of the village for doing their best in developing the school. Inauguration of School building and the Computer Lab was done. Science Lab was also inaugurated with basic equipment necessary for the school children. Spacious class rooms were provided and good furniture was also arranged for the children and the staff. HH Sri Swamiji said that we'll try to develop the school to the level of College if there is good co-operation by the locals, such that it provides good education freely to those people. The Tribal Welfare Officer Sriman M.Sridhar said that they'll co-operate with JET in developing the school. Along with JET Members and JET volunteers, Deputy District Educational Officer Sriman Madhukar, ZPTC member Sriman S.Ganganna, MPP Dhanlal Naik, Police C.I Sriman Rama Swamy, F.R.O Sriman Prathap Reddy and many other officials and local heads participated in the function.

All the participants were served with delicious lunch along with different sweets, all prepared by the volunteer Swamis.

July 16th to July 26th 2007

HH is at Nepal taking part in various Spiritual programmes being organised there by the local devotees. Many devotees in Nepal are waiting since long for HH Sri Swamiji's visit and they were all blessed during this trip. As HH Sri Swamiji speaks in Sanskrit, Nepali and also Hindi, people love to listen to Sri Swamiji's discourses and great messages of Acharyas. Sri Swamiji's benedictions inspire every one irrespective of any nation or any language or any religion for, the mission HH spreads is Universal and loved by one and all !

June 20th to July 16th 2007

HH Sri Swamiji, after completing grand US trip and Canada Trip from May 15 th to June 19th, came along with many devotees back to India and straight away went to Hrushikesh from where the unique "Himayathra" began. devotees came from USA to join this Yathra. About 100 members from India too joined the group. All the devotees travelled along with HH Sri Swamiji throughout the 3 legs of yathra, in a convoy of vehicles wonderfully organised by a team of devotees under the able coordination by U.Ve. Sriman Gudimella Venugopalacharya Swami.
HH Sri Swamiji took the devotees to all the important places and explained the wonderful history everywhere along with the special significance of each place and showed the Puranic evidences of our Great Vedic Land. The Spiritual Glory and the great civilization of our Vedic people reaching the exalt of human values in culmination with Divine Power has been explained to the devotees. They were amazed to know the realities and they enjoyed the privilege of belonging to such a Great Nation. The Universality of the Vedic Tradition that is still the backbone of Indian heritage and culture is wonderfully portrayed by HH Sri Swamiji at every place. At every place HH Sri Swamiji explained why the place was named so, how the names were distorted by those modernists who don't know, leave the meaning, even the proper pronunciation of the words. The greatnes of our Nation and culture in its pure form was shown by HH Sri Swamiji.

First Leg of Hima Yathra started from Hrushikesh to Badarinath and back and ended at Haridwar.
Second Leg of Hima Yathra proceeded to Naimisaranyam, Ayodhya, Gaya and Pushkar along with places on the way. Third Leg of Hima Yathra was to reach Mukthinath from Pokhran in Nepal. Some devotees came to 1st leg only and some joined in the second and some were fortunate to be in 3rd leg of Hima Yathra.

His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji's visit to Southern California (greater Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego) areas from May 21st - 28th, 2007.

By the grace of the Lord and Acharyas, the residents of Southern California had the rare and unique opportunity to spend time, interact and learn directly from his Holiness. The devotees of the South land were excited and were eagerly awaiting Swamiji's arrival. Swamiji and devotees arrived by car at Culver city (near LA downtown) from Phoenix at around 8.30 pm on Monday, May 21st 2007 to the elation of all devotees. His holiness spent till late night interacting with devotees and enquiring about the satsangh activities.Swamiji's whirlwind visit began the next day.There was theertha goshti in the morning accompanied by beautiful chanting of Vedic hymns, Divya Prabandham and other Slokas. Swamiji performed thiruvaradhana to His Sri Rama Parivaram and after which the devotees received theertham directly from His Holiness.This wonderful event happened every morning during Swamiji's stay.Swamiji headed to Irvine in Orange County in the afternoon.After pada pujas at the devotees houses Swamiji reached "The Mandir" in the Irvine area where devotees had gathered early to chant Vishnu Sahasranamam and other slokas.His holiness gave a pravachan attended by nearly 100 devotees. All the gathered devotees had prasadam after the wonderful discourse.

Swamiji headed to the San Diego area on May 24th.After Pada puja at a devotee's place Swamiji gave wonderful discourse on 'Vedas, Mantras and Meditation' at the Shiva Vishnu temple hall to the delight of hundreds of gathered devotees.On May 25th morning after 'theertha goshti' Swamiji performed 'Samshrayanam' to many devotees both young and old. Swamiji discussed the importance of ritual in establishing spiritual connection to the Lord through Jagadacharya Sri Ramanuja.His holiness explained the subtle meaning of Tirumantram, Dvaya Mantram and Charama slokam.Many devotees exclaimed that they felt as if they were taking rebirth by going through this spiritually transforming process.After a brief rest, Swamiji visited house of local devotees and gave a pravachan that evening at the Malibu Hindu temple.Swamiji aptly talked about the need for temple worship and the mentality with which such worship should be performed. Swamiji urged temples to have the right environment to inculcate values like discipline and humility in devotees.The temple should create a serene environment for devotees to gather and enjoy the Lord.

Swamiji conducted a three day summer camp, a spiritual retreat for devotees from May 26- 28th.His holiness started with an overview of Vedic scriptures and chapters from the Bhagavad Gita explaining the categorization of 18 chapters into 3 Shatkams namely A:thma, Bhakthi and So:dana ,each containing 6 chapters. Swamiji then explained the essence of the 13th chapter "kshe:thra kshe:thajna vibha:ga yo:gaha" beginning with the verse "idam sari:ram kowntheya…." defining the body as kshethra, "a fertile, cultivable land" and kshethrajna, as a "knower of the subtleties associated with kshethra".His holiness then described Lord Sri Krishna's revelation of the esoteric secrets in the Vedas in the ensuing slokas. The verses prescribe the practice of the qualities Ama:nithvam, Adambhithvam, Ahimsa, Kshan:thi, A:rjavam, A:charyo:pasanam, Soucham etc. Swamiji reiterated the importance of these qualities for personality development. The audience was enthralled in Swamiji's multi media presentation of each quality using anecdotal incidents and stories. His holiness said that pursuing the above qualities should be real drivers in life instead of false pretences. This will bring enlightenment and will lead to joyous living.The three days of learning and interaction with Swamiji went very quickly.

After the end of the third day's event, it suddenly dawned on everyone that the spiritual retreat was over.The devotees described the occasionas a strong dose of spiritual medicine.It was time for Swamiji to bless the devotees in the other cities and everyone gathered to bid farewell to his holiness. His holiness and entourage headed towards the Bakersfield and then to Northern California on the evening of May 28th. Swamiji's visit will be remembered by many as a spiritually enlightening event and everyone here is looking forward for spending time with his holiness again.

On May 15th, Sri Swamiji along with the devotees arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at around 6:35 pm to a rousing welcome by the group of local devotees assembled. Sri Swamiji was warmly greeted by all devotees with flowers and pranamams. That night, Sri Swamiji met with local volunteers and went to rest.
It was a rare and wonderful oppurtunity to the people of Arizona which has never experienced such a great event so far. Sri Swamiji's visit was a conglomoration of Service and Spiritual Awakening, which inspired many here.
Arizona became (H)arizona the minute our divine Sri Swamiji set His lotus feet on the land.

Summer Camp was a major event that was conducted in Phoenix during Sri Swamiji's visit.
The Summer Camp was preceded by a two hours introductory session on Friday. Sri Swamiji let everyone know, how serving all beings is service to GOD, and in general about JET service activities and programs. The session was very inspiring and after the session, quite a few people came forward to donate liberally for the noble cause.
Sri Swamiji and entourage have shown the audience a very wonderful documentary on the activities at remote villages where a tribal school was constructed. The audience was spell bound to see how the tribal students recited slokas with a beautiful voice. The students followed such discipline and order and it is hard to find more sincere children or teachers anywhere in our cities or towns !

The following two days (Saturday and Sunday) was a mind-bending and spiritual awakening event for everyone. The class was supplemented with excellent presentations, animations in-tune with the class material.
Sri Swamiji explained the secret of the formula (m=r2)!. The class began with an introduction to SWOT analysis! SWOT is a business related acronym which is used as a framework for analyzing a firm's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
Sri Swamiji brought out the missing 5th element in this SWOT analysis ! He showed the defects of the SWOT Analysis and how it was ignoring the most important portion of Business-Success. The fifth element being "GOAL". Swamiji explained these 5 elements in relation with Mankind and God.

The audience watched the whole series with such amazement and excitement. Every next moment made us look ahead with a question "whats next ?" !! Slowly Swamiji lead the audience towards the most important aspect of "mankind", which is "realize and respond". Hence m = r2.
Sri Swamiji has elucidated a high-class topic such as "Artha Panchakam" from our scriptures and put it to us in simple lucid words!

The next day of the Summer Camp was "Bhagavad Gita". Sri Swamiji explained the first chapter of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

After Sri Swamiji's pravachanam of the first few slokas of the first chapter of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, it is unimaginable to realize how beautifully Sri Swamiji connected the Bhagavad Gita with an individual's conduct towards himself, family, society, nature and God. Sri Swamiji explained to us how the Kauravas behaved with Acharyas and how the pandavas did; How they spoke and presented themselves before the Acharyas; What really caused the downfall and why; What happens when a person does not care to listen and follow the advise of a Guru !
Taking the first few slokas, Sri Swamiji elucidated what is "Dharma" and what is "Karma" and how one must react and respond to them.

So, ended the event in Phoenix on a grand scale to the amazement of many. Every minute was meant for us to learn, share, participate and spread the message.

On May 21st, devotees bid farewell to HH Sri Swamiji and Sri Swamiji along with his parivaram left for Los Angeles in California. For Photos Click Here
