The Vedas are a mass of Divine Sounds that created this Universe. They are the great treasures of knowledge. They are responsible for sustenance of this Universe. They alone can reveal the mysterious truths of this Universe. Sages millions of years ago, received these sounds from a Divine Source and transmitted them flawlessly to generation after generation. The Vedas comprised 1131 branches, of which only 12 branches are available today and the remaining are lost. The Vedas teach humans to live in tune with Nature without abusing her and thus lead a healthy and happy earthly life and attain Heavenly Abode.
De:vatha:s are the natural forces responsible for the survival of the beings. Devatha:s respond to the tune of the Nature. We call the tune as Manthras. So if we chant the manthras properly, the energies of the nature will respond to us and fulfill our desires, no matter whatever they are. Vedas are compilations of such Manthras in millions, to cater the billions of desires of the living souls.
Veda has different names. A few are "Apourushe:ya:s" , apocalyptic, not written by any one just like the sound of the Sea and the Space, "Sruthi", originally heard by the great seers, in the state of greater Trance "Samadhi". So, it is flawless, " a:mna:ya" chanted throughout the life, repeated as life mission to reproduce it flawlessly, "Ve:da" that which reveals the mysteries of the Cosmos and makes one prosperous in all respects, "Sa:sthram" it dictates the way of living for everyone. Thus it is considered as "Swathah Prama:na", self authoritative and self authentic. It is said that all the languages are derived from Vedic literature only, yet, Vedic sounds are above all the languages, for , it is the Sound that makes the whole Veda supreme, but not the language and hence all the interpretations in all the languages might explain only an iota of the whole, and were invariably incapable to give the exact interpretation of the Vedic sounds. Also these interpretations are prone to several changes from time to time.
But, Vedic Sounds, the formation of the Manthras and the a:nupu:rvi, ie., the structure of the whole Veda is unchangeable since time immemorial. So it is called " Nithyam" eternal. Such Vedic mass has been divided into 4 main streams by the great Vedic Seer Veda Vyasa Badarayana probably 7000 years ago and named them after Rug Ve:da, Yajurve:da, Sa:ma Ve:da and Adharva Ve:da. Four of his disciples Pyla, Vysampa:yana, Jaimini and Sumanthra respectively, further divided these 1131 branches for safe preservation. This exercise was done keeping in view the drastic exponential degradation of human memory. Inspite of all this we are so unfortunate to loose 99% of the whole Vedic Knowledge and have only 12 branches with us.
Vedic University shouldered the responsibility of preserving the available Vedic Branches with the available resources, made a humble beginning in 1984 with 17 students, established a school on the Southern bank of sacred river Krishna. It is traditionally training the students in the conventional method as was followed by the grand lineages till today. Vedic Practices like performing Sandhya Vandanam thrice a day and performing sacred fire (Agnika:ryam) twice a day, imparting Yo:ga:bhya:sam, stho:thra:s and Prabandha:s etc., is a part of their curriculum. 
Students play games, serve devotees visiting asramam, conduct different social service activities during the Natural Calamities etc., as a part of their activity in addition to their stringent schedule of study and other Vedic Practices.
In 1998 they conducted Peace March in the riot torn Punjab. They also conducted Peace March in the Srikakulam District when the terrorism opened its hood. Peace was established. The results were enjoyed by one and all ! 
At present, the Vedic University is imparting, RugVeda, Krishna Yajurveda, Sukla Yajurveda, Adharva Veda, Maithrayani Sakha branches of the Vedas. Sa:ma Ve:da is going to be started soon. There are about 10 branches of Vedic Schools and about 140 students are taking training in different Vedic Subjects and there are about 12 Gurus who are imparting training to the students.

Jeeyar Educational Trust has been established by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji during 1983, which is conducting Vedic University and it is running Vedic schools with the support of Vedic Lovers. Students are provided with studies, accommodation, food, clothing, medicines etc., free of cost through out their stay in the school. Usually, it takes 12 years for a student to complete one branch of Vedam. Already three batches of Vedic scholars have come out after successful completion and were put up in various famous temples like Simhachalam Temple, Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams Temple, Bhadrachalam Temple, Yadagiri Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswami Temple etc., as Vedic Scholars for regular Veda Parayana. Some of the Vedic scholars are dedicated to train the new and upcoming students. Some of them are in pursuit of higher studies related to their Vedic branch. Some of them are engaged in Vedic Project, that is, studying various effects and benevolencies of chanting Manthras and doing Vedic Practices, in association with modern science and subjects.
The generosity of the devotees and their dedication to the noble cause, by providing support through their humble participation in school maintenance, students maintenance, Teachers maintenance, Vedic Project etc., is highly rewarding boon blessed by Veda Vedya. The schools are run, not with any corpus or deposits of amount, but, with the corpus of unfailing devotion and sustained dedication filled hearts that have experienced the Divinity with the blessings of HH Sri Sri Sri Jeeyar Swamiji.
It is an opportunity to take part in such a Noble Mission by what ever means we can !. As of today's going, on an average, it requires Rs.1500/- per month per student and Rs.7000/- on each teacher per month. All the donations to this Trust are exempted under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
A number of philanthropists are taking part in this endeavour and any one who wish to be a part of this great mission are invited to take the opportunity in serving the noble cause by whatever means they choose and be blessed to be a part of this Divine activity.
During the first annual celebrations of JET in 1985, our ex-president of India, the then Governor of Andhrapradesh Dr. Shankar Dayal Sarma has graced the occasion and expressed a great satisfaction for the efforts put-in by the Vedic University in preserving the greatest knowledge treasures of our country "The Vedas". He expressed his happiness that in this Vedic University, Vedas are not only just taught, but also practiced to the extent our learned and realised elders have ordained. 
During second annual celebrations in 1986, Smt. Kumud Ben Joshi, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh, has participated and highly appreciated the contribution of Vedic scholars of this Vedic University, to the Noble cause of Universal Welfare, under the Divine guidance of HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji.
LITERATURE AND PROMOTING RESEARCH
Vedas are a vast treasure of eternal knowledge. A number of sages and great saints who realized them have preserved by memory and passed on to the generations, thus that great knowledge reached us today. As the memory of a man is seriously deteriorating due to a number of other deviations, it is necessary to preserve them in printed form or in other media. Also, it is not possible for everyone in these days to go to Gurukulas and learn. Media and Communication technologies have narrowed down the information gap between continents and countries. For the facility of seekers, it is necessary to present the facts in a more authentic and right manner by taking the subject from original and authentic sources.
This great task is taken up Jeeyar Educational Trust and with the Mangalasasanams of HH Sri Swamiji, a number of books of Veda and those related to Vedic subjects were brought out. Some are under work.
For facilitating the research work on the subjects and for those who are interested to refer to, a Library (Sri:ko:sam) is available which has a collection of a number of rare books and manuscripts.
JET has initiated Vedic Project that aims in capsulising the essence of Vedic teachings and presenting it to reach the common man, for the good of one and all. Universal Welfare and progress in both spiritual and material planes to be ever in service of Lord, is the ultimate goal.
JET has published a number of books, with a number of philanthropists coming forward to extend their support in publishing them and now it is trying to bring the subjects on CDROMs and DVDs too. In this attempt, two interactive Multimedia CDROMs have come out, one on Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Sthothram and the other on Krishnayajurveda Sandhyavandan in addition to many other audio CDs filled with the nectar of Divine voice. Other works are under progress.
Bhakthinivedana is a spiritual Telugu monthly filled with a number of articles on Vedas and their ancilliaries authored by eminent scholars in a most lucid way with utmost authenticity of the subject. There are more than 2 Lakh readers and the readership is increasing day by day.
A number of great Vedic scholars, Vedantha Scholars and Vedanga Scholars are being honoured by JET every year during different occasions. A number of seminars, discussions and discourses were being organised by JET.
Putting our skills, knowledge, wealth and services in service of Lord is a boon one should be blessed with. May Lord bless us all in this endeavour.
JET - ABROAD
JET USA INC.
H.H Sri Swamiji visited USA to bless the devotees who were living far away from their Spiritual mother land. There are a number of Indian families residing in USA who wish to lead their life in the ‘Bha:rathi:ya' way and expect their children to follow spiritually rich Bharathiya tradition and culture rather than the freelance foreign culture. Mostly, there are doctors who went there earlier and a number of computer engineers who went there later on. Ofcourse, there are Indians in other professions and businesses too. In order to spread the Divine Fragrance of Vedic Culture, all over the world, the technologically developed countries like USA are still in the beginning stage, though they have realised the greatness of these Vedas. On their invitation, HH visited USA to revitalise the latent spiritual commitment and channelise it in the Vedic way, in those people who are building and supporting so many temples and doing so many Yagnas and Yagas. 
Many secrets told by our Vedas were wonderfully explained by HH Sri Swamiji. HH Sri Swamiji is astonished at the inquisitiveness and sharp and intelligent response from children and kids. Always a separate session will be conducted exclusively for their sake in all the places of HH Sri Swamiji's visit. 
During 1994, 1995,1996,1997,1998, 2001 HH Sri Swamiji was invited to US for various programmes and spiritual retreats were also conducted. During 1995, JETUSA INC. has been established to look after the JET activities in USA. Due to vast communication facilites provided by the latest technologies, there were chats, group discussions and discourses on-line being conducted quite frequently. JET USA took part in many service activities during natural calamities occured in India. After, recent WTO attack in Washington, JET USA has also contributed a sizeable amount for the sake of the sufferers.
To encourage the sprouting devotion and interest in Vedic culture, HH Sri Swamiji, though the schedule is very tight, is allotting sufficient slots to speak over Tele-bridge, teaching Upanishads, Bhagawadgi:tha, Slo:kas etc., and at the end, Question-Answer sessions were held to clear one's doubts and boost up one's knowledge in the spiritual plane. HH Sri Swamiji says that one should live in this material world doing their own duty / business, with mind always working in the spiritual plane, to do it well and make it useful for many others, in service of God.
JET Europe and JET Australia:
There are inspired souls with devotion to Vedic tradition, spread throughout the world. In London , in Lugano Switzerland, in Paris, in Rome in Germany etc., there are a number of Vedic Lovers. HH Sri Swamiji visited these places and blessed them. HH Sri Swamiji says that in those countries, foreign governments, having realised the importance of these Vedas are contributing a lot for preserving the Vedic texts and their commentaries and the ancilliary subjects of the Vedas. HH Sri Swamiji observed that a lot of research work is in progress on these subjects. 
As Bharat is the home for all these Vedic subjects, they sought HH Sri Swamiji's guidance in their work. HH Sri Swamiji blessed them for their good progress and assured them of the necessary cooperation.
JET PLANS
Jeeyar Educational Trust has drawn an action plan for establishing a Vedic Academy for Research and Analysis ® (VARA®) with facilities for the well-equipped library and a research wing. To achieve this purpose the trust proposes to make an optimum utilization of the modern electronic media & computer technology.
All pundit's who are proficient in Vedas could be brought under one roof to unearth the hidden truths of Vedas.
The main objectives of the trust are:

To organize conferences, seminars, debates, congregate scholars etc., periodically for a fruitful interaction in order to inculcate right perception about the Vedic knowledge, vis-a-vis the knowledge of modern science and technology.

To establish and develop a library containing authentic texts on the Vedas and allied subjects in print as well as in the form of manuscripts, audio cassettes, videos, microfilms and also to sustain the practice of regular chanting of the Vedas by a group of Vedic pandit's.

To establish modern research laboratories which will enable pundits, scholars, students, modern scientists, doctors & engineers to conduct experiments on the basis of Vedic technology and to explore the ways and means of applying Vedic truths to the needs of the modern world.

To set-up a laboratory with modern scientific equipment and to study the effects of Vedic sounds on human body and its metabolism.

To establish a documentation center wherein the relevant information and the activities of various Vedic centers and the work done by the scholars and researcher's are systematically documented and published in the form of periodicals for the seekers.

To provide educational grants for students by taking research assistance from professors of different educational institutes.

To conduct summer schools for inculcating time tested ancient Vedic culture, way of life, yoga etc., by pundits from India to the interested devotee family members & children.
