Lot of people in the remote forest of Allampalli are being trained on making agarbattis. People have voluntarily given up their bad habits like consuming alcohol, meat eating, selling them etc. Good road has been laid to connect people. The tribal school has become the center for all activities in the village. Students are being sent to Bangalore for training in vocational skills. Local people are also participating in training others.
Everyone is working in unison for the development of the area.
Jeeyar Gurukulam is the centre for educating the children as well as for inspiring the villagers to do many service activities.
11 Thandas (village groups in forests) around Allampalli are getting the light of wisdom from Jeeyar Gurukulam, to join the main stream of the society through education, and vocational activities.

2006 News
The function of Inauguration of Hostel for 100 students at Allampally Jeeyar Gurukulam went on well. The District Collector Smt. Sudha Rani felt happy that a good work is being done by JET at Allampally in the really needed place of the remote forests. Her first observation was " The Toilets for children are so good. We are not able to provide like this in our hostels." A host of officials like DEO and MRO accompanied her. Collector felt that " I wish you brought some of your teachers to witness this function and see how well disciplined these children are and how well they are chanting the slokas and prayer songs".
She initially felt that we selected a remote place and it creates problems to the Governement like providing / improving roads for better accessability etc. But, when the school teachers explained the plan and spirit of approach that JET wanted to take education to remote masses rather than asking them to come to developed places for education, which they are reluctant to do from past experience, she appreciated the strategy of Swamiji.
She announced that a Transformer will be provided at the school to improve powersupply and a water tank for storage purposes. She also promised to do her best to improve the approach road which was just laid by the villagers during the school construction. She went round the school and hostel, served meal to some children and sat with all of the Tribal children and took the hostel meal, the same thing that is being served to the children and felt extremely happy.
Hope the dreams of those villagers come true soon and the area develop with the heartful co-operation and participation of the well wishers, in this Tribal Education Project taken up by JET.
