About Gita Jyothi

1. ) Keeping aside major religions like Islam and Christianity, even among those who follow Vedic System there are many divisions. Every person worships God in some way or other. He follows some method of Worship, to pray some form of God, with the strength of which he leads his life, balancing it with moral values and righteousness in his regular activities.
Right from the ancient Vedas, till today's sprouting new religions... everyone accepts that it is only one God who is ruling all the Worlds. Good !! Whatever form they assume to Him and with whatever form they call, it is only He who grants all the desires of the devotees. Lord Krishna said that in Bhagavad Githa "ye: yattha: ma:m prapadyanthe: ...." . If it is only one who is the listener of all these people then, there is no necessity to fight , to conquer one another, to convert one into another. But, we can undoubtedly say that such an understanding is lacking in most of the modern leaders, thinkers, heads and ofcourse... people too. Because, if such an understanding is there, the baseless teachings ( So called the big heads too..) like " My religion is the greatest of all, My God only is the greatest among all, my method only is great and not of others, You give up yours and follow this " etc.., making people baits, showing various preys, might not have sprouted.
Levels of maturity differ in different minds. Everyone lives according to their taste and thought. Though everyone has his own individuality they live collectively as a single family... isn't it ? One would not force his tastes and opinions on others. This we can see in families everywhere. This shouls be the principle even in this spiritual matters.
We worship our mother and father. We don't worship their friends, but, RESPECT them. We donot disrespect them nor humiliate them and also do not worship them. We don't say meaningless words such as "all are same" . From the view of one person his father is different and the father of the other person is different. I worship my father and respect other's fathers. One who loves his father should also ask others to Love their fathers. One who says that he loves his father and asks others to disrespect their fathers or ask them to kick their fathers, then his love to his father is also false. Otherwise, he would have asked others also to Love their fathers. It is meaningless to say that both are same. Concept is same even in God's case.
I pray God in one form with one name. You do in another form with some other name. I worship my God, You worship your GOD. I respect your God, you also should learn to respect my God. Saying that " both are same ", "Let us make them one " or disrespecting or humiliating other is dangerous to both. Let us join together to worship God who is in the form of SOCIETY. Same is the case with the religion. I worship my religion, you do yours. Don't speak baseless and meaningless words like "both are same". Let us join together and work for the common religion of "Social Welfare" . To understand this is the immediate need of the hour.
It is necessary for followers of all religions to know this principle, particularly political leaders and religious heads need to realise this fast in view of human welfare. This transformation of attitude should come at the earliest. Hence, Githa Jyothi has the two principles
1. Worship Your Own and Respect all.
2. Serve all beings as service to God.
Vedas say that there is God in all the living beings. So serving every living being, may it be a bird, a cat, an animal, a plant, a cow or a buffalo, it is He who is going to receive in it and gives suitable result to us. The human attitude should now pin point towards God in every living being.
2. ) Let us absorb the message delivered by Lord Krishna in Bhagavadgitha, atleast one a week. Let us share this with all our people. Though every sloka of Bhagavadgitha gives us a wonderful message, we have chosen 48 slokas only for the whole year keeping our abilities, availabilities and facilities in view. For the whole year it takes 48 weeks. So let us take a sloka for a week and try to absorb the message delivered by Lord Krishna directly. Let us chant those Divine slokas.
3. ) a) Today's Children are the hope of the future. So let us conduct free dental, eye testing camps in each and every village to the children. Let us educate them about health protection and disease prevention. Let us bring out the creativity dorment in them by allowing them to take part in portraying art to the meanings of slokas chosen for that purpose. Let us conduct competitions from school level to village level to district level to state level in art, essay writing, elocution etc., and distribute prizes to them.
b) Woman has the unique vital role in the society. If she is healthy, then society will be healthy. So Women Health Camps were being organised by Githa Jyothi.
c) Animals help human beings in a number of ways. They serve human beings sincerely, though man makes use of those dumb beings exclusively for his selfish needs. It becomes our bounden duty to serve them by taking care of their health, giving them proper food, providing them proper environment, freedom etc. As service to God, Githa Jyothi is conducting a number of Veterinary camps bringing together different villages.
4. ) Great movements start and will be lead by some great leader. After that ? To keep the activity alive throughout and make people live righteously, it is necessary to keep the local temples as centres of spiritual activity. Local active youth should form as groups basing on the skills they have and encourage that village art in them. In some places, many such talented groups exist. In such places, they should organise the programmes regularly one after another encouraging one another. It may be necessary for some of them to get training too. Githa Jyothi programme is trying to inculcate this sort of co-operative unity among all people and groups in the villages and towns.
5. ) For individual personality / career / life style development and progress, Lord Krishna blessed us with a number of exercises in the chapters of 12, 13 and 16 of Bhagavadgitha. Unless individual personality blooms, one cannot receive good. If there is anything known, it cannot be put into practice. Hence , 26 essential qualities from chapter 13 have been composed as a chart to verify our daily progress in those respective qualities. It is purely for self elevation and revelation. Similar charts were prepared , one from 16th Chapter with 36 great qualities and one from 12th chapter with 48 great qualities. Who ever wishes to elevate themselves or analyse one self for self progress can take those charts and start the exercise straight away marking the progress in the charts. It is enough if we recognise that our well being is in our hands only when we obey to God. If each individual strengthens oneself morally and spiritually, then the strength of the society will automatically increase that leads them to their well being. This is the true progress.
This programme Githa Jyothi is going ahead with these five points as its basic part of exercise to be spread to all those interested door to door and eye to eye. This programme is for all irrespective of any religion or caste or creed or race or group. It is beyond all these divisions, aiming at the welfare of the society. Let us fly the flags of Hanuma ( who is having extraordinary communication skills ) carrying Sanjivani the wonderful Divine message giving Lord Krishna. Let Hanuman bless the whole humanity with the great human values and spiritual strength.
Come on... Join Us.....Participate in Githa Jyothi..... Make others too do it...... Be Blessed......
May we remember Lord Krishna always ! May the blessings of our Acharya be on us ever.
