Githa Jayanthi 2008 - Report

By the early hours of 9th Dec, the Githa Jayanthi day, thousands of devotees thronged to the NRI College grounds from different villages, towns, cities and people of different ages, children, youth, elders and old, rushed to the ground by walk, by public transport, by autos, by cars, by buses, by tractors etc. It is only a clarion call of HH Sri Swamiji for the sake of PRAYER FOR PEACE. TO ERADICATE TERRORISM. TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE AND AWAKEN their spiritual strength, HH proposed to conduct a programme of chanting Bhagavadgitha in original.

World knows that Bhagavad Githa is packed with the golden and redeeming nectarian words of Lord Sri Krishna, who is none else than the incarnation of LORD NARAYANA, the Supreme Lord of this Universe born in the form of human being in the recent times (about 5200 years ago) on this Earth

His words are the ultimate manthras, which revealed the secrets of this life, purpose of human birth, methods of daily conduct, thought etc. They are the Universal messages to suit all people according to their own choice and interests on the path of righteousness.

HH Sri Swamiji reached the grounds by 7.30 AM. By that time, thousands of people are already there waiting for HH Sri Swamiji's arrival. With the arrival of Swamiji, the whole air reverberated with the Divine name "Jai Srimannarayana". There was an electric flow like enthusiasm in the hearts of all the devotees. All their hearts were tuned to the Divine Sankalpam of HH Sri Swamiji.

Bhagavad Githa books (with meanings) were distributed free to all the devotees. Many NRI Students too Volunteered in serving the joining devotees and making them comfortable. HH made people to take the divine sankalpam and started to chant the Bhagavadgitha. By 11.30AM the whole ground was full with about 60,000 people.

The only focus of everyone's heart is the prayer to Lord for
" Total Elimination of Terrorism from the minds of people. Peace Pace and Peace to All "

Irrespective of caste, creed, groups, parties, religions and other dividing barriers, people joined the tune of HH Sri Swamiji in chanting the Bhagavadgitha all together. Sri Swamiji's explanation of the essence of the Bhagavadgitha Chapter at the end of each chapter is that "nectar" people carried in their hearts with great care. It is the sumptuous food to the mind and heart too when it tunes with the Universal Power under the direct presence of Acharya. Whether one may know the meaning or understand it or not, but, the divine chanting with the divine voice itself is a great blessing. Sound has the power to heal. Divine words of Lord through the voice of Acharya, along with thousands of ardent devotees delivering the slokas, pouring their hearts in all glory to Lord is something a unique thing one has to experience !!

Not just that ! Groups of people in various states and places of India, USA, Australia, Germany etc., also have participated in the same time in their places too to chant along with HH Sri Swamiji, best using the Internet technology making the divine connection round the globe.

Sriman G.Gangaraju offered paper to print the one lakh Bhagavadgitha books. Sriman Lingamaneni Bhaskara Rao came up with Rs.5 lakhs. Inspired by the Endowments Commissioner Sriman Sundar Kumar, Minister for Endowments Sriman Ratnakar Rao extended support for printing the books. Sriman Narasaraj and Sriman Rajeswara Rao of NRI have made yeomen contribution for preparing the ground. 4,80,000 Sq Feet of robust tents were setup for the devotees to enjoy the programme. Plasma displays were arranged in the tents to see the stage and the programme.

The programme began with the inauguration of Bhagavadgitha Books by Sriman Sundar Kumar. Children who won prizes in the Bhagavad githa contests participated with all fervour. Sriman Grandhi Subbarao, Crane Nutpowder industries, arranged for Prasadams of Upma, Kesari, Boondi etc., to all the devotees with continuous supply in 40 counters as it is Ekadasi day.

What a wonderful service it is. Krishna District, Vijayadiary Chairman Sriman Mandava Janaki Ramaiah arranged for Mineral water and buttermilk to all the devotees. After chanting 6 chapters, a cultural programme of Bharata Natyam, by Usha Madhavi and Siri under the supervision of Smt.T.K.Chudamani was an excellent presentation. Kumbha Nruthyam and Kalasa Deepothsava Nruthyam by Chi.Sudha was a masterpiece dance on pot with single foot on it and other at head, an amazing performance. Sri Siva Chaitanya Mataji showed HH Swamiji as Lord Narayana performing wonderful Leelas in these days. Prizes were distributed to the children who won in various Bhagavadgitha competitions conducted by JET/VT.

All the 18 chapters were completed by about 5Pm. Since morning, Homam was performed with Ashtakshari and Bhagavadgitha by the Veda Agama scholars and students of JET. After chanting, Purnahuthi was performed in the presence of HH Sri Swamiji. Tenali Viveka School students 250 members and NRI College students and students from Khajipalem have rendered yeomen services specially in transporting and in distributing Prasadams & books to all the devotees. Tight security arrangements were made by the police and also fire service personnel, many volunteers of Vikasatarangini who came from different places rendered great services. HH blessed Sriman P.Venkatacharya and Sriman G.Raghunath of Sithanagaram who co-ordinated all the arrangments for the programme.

Myguru people have arranged for Broadband Internet and JET has telecast the programme live throughout the day with streaming audio-video on the website chinnajeeyar.org using the services of Ustream. People from 40 places all over the world have reported to have participated in through this Internet Video streams.

After chanting, a Prayer for world Peace was conducted followed by an oath taking event in which every devotee lighted up a lamp to Lord Krishna and said that irrespective of one's own religion, caste or creed, we'll all serve the society for Peace and Prosperity. People offered their prayer for world peace. It appeared as if it is the ocean of 'live' lights dazzling in great Peace and Joy.

HH offered Mangalasasanams to Sriman Raghavan Vikasatarangini, Smt. Sitamahalakshmi of Ideal Public School, Kumari Neela and all their team for their dedicated services to this huge programme.

IT IS A PRIDE OF OUR NATION TO HAVE A GREAT NOBLE PERSONALITY HH SRI CHINNA JEEYAR SWAMI who responded to every cause immediately for the good of the society to establish PEACE and protect GREAT VALUES in the society through various innovative programmes inspiring millions of people from all over the world !

A unique ever heard, 10 hour continuous programme with lakhs of people volunteering in the exercise of the whole programme was an amazing trait only possible by the Great Acharya like HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. HH offered mangalasasanams to one and all and HH left the dias at 8.PM. HH Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and HH Sri Vrathadhara Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji were present during the programme. U.Ve. Sriman S.V.Ranga Ramanujacharya Swami along with U.Ve. Sriman T.Udayavarlu and Sriman K. Venkatacharyulu were present on the dias.

Smt.Laila & Sriman Gangaraju, Sriman Siris Raju, Dr.Sumati, Dr.Narsaraju, Dr.Parthasaradhi, Dr. Rajeswara Rao, Engineer Sriman Suryanarayana and other NRI Team have honoured HH Sri Swamiji amidst Vedic chantings for gracing such a noble and unique programme.The Whole programme was organised in a disciplined way and in a peaceful way. Every one was happy and enjoyed the whole programme.

Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji blessed this programme aiming to ELIMINATE TERRORISM from the minds of people. Everyone offered their prayers to HH Sri Swamiji for grand success in services offered under His guidance.
