KNOW THESE THINGS - VERY IMPORTANT FACTS
(Excerpts from the speeches of HH Sri Swamiji, which we always need to remember)
1. We are "Bharathiyas", Ours is Vedic culture. None of the authentic scriptures contain the word 'Hindu' though we are mostly called by that name today. It is a term introduced by some historians of the midieval period. We are Vedics. We have taught the world the wonderful way to live. We have millions of years of history of mankind.
Let us become really "independent" from the imposed foreign methods. Worship your Tradition and worship your culture. Respect all others. You need not lose your own cultural treasure. Atleast after 55 years of so called independence, realise now. When people become alert, governments automatically follow them. It is for the good of all, for the welfare of all, for the well-being of all.
2. We worship our God and respect all other Gods ! Appreciate good wherever it is, but for that sake never compromise or give up your own traditional practice that has authentic support for common good. Encourage good wherever it is, for that sake, never lose your basics of moral practice. Respect all others.
" You worship your father, and respect other's fathers, I worship my father and I respect other's fathers."
3. The true history of human beings can be known from our (True History) Ithihasas, Ramayana and Mahabharatha and from Puranas like Srimad Bhagavatham. They have millions of years of history about mankind on this Earth. They are not imaginary writings like those of novels etc., many people compose today. These Ithihasas are witnessed by those great Rishis and sages, who recorded them as it is, due to their versatile capabilities blessed by God for the sake of the welfare of generations to come.
4. There is a great science about the "Inner Person" living in this body, in addition to the science that deals with external material body. It is wonderfully explained by Lord Sri Krishna in Bhagavadgi:tha.
5. Whether we accept or not, Truth is always Truth. The history of Bharath has been wrongly focussed by some of the historians.
6. A religion is one that binds and keeps people together and motivates them for the healthy progress of the society. If somebody tries to convert or split people, in the name of God, remember.... they are deceiving themselves and others too.
7. Let us serve for a good purpose that is useful to the society.
8. Materialistic development without improving moral standards in the people, will lead to unrest, confusion and finally downfall.
9. "Universal Well Being" and "World Peace" are the natural attributes of our Vedic tradition. All such great attributes were collected, expounded, focussed, practiced and propagated by Bhagawad Ramanuja, who took them from the great traditional lineage, to make every living being on this Earth attain the ultimate happiness.
10. Native Governments are afraid of implementing these Vedic concepts and they are masking this Vedic tradition under the name of "RELIGION" as done by some foreign governments. Our governments are not even properly encouraging this native Vedic tradition to the required sufficiency. O Man ! Realize....Vedas are eternal Sounds....not compositions. They are not limited to one religion, one sect or one group. They are the complex sounds containing the mysterious truths of this Universe.
Bhagavad Ramanuja is none other than a great Social Reformer, a Great Vedic scientist, whose reflections, works are Divine torches to this world, whose Vedic teachings and practices are exemplary in every step of our life. They are for our good. They are for World Peace. They are for Universal Welfare.
