His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji graced the events that took placed as part of the Deepavali celebrations. Events that were part of this festive period are the Thirunakshatram(birth day) of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and the Samavarthana(Convocation). A highly decorated and colorful entrance arch leading to Vedic School from Krishna Barrage was put up. Entire town of Sithanagaram has been decorated to celebrate this great event.
Sri Swamiji performed the Sahasra Kalasabhishekam for Perumal on November 1st. Thousands of devotees visited the ashram and witnessed this sacred event.
The days of Naraka Chathurdasi and Deepavali saw two great Jeeyar Swamijis of our times, H.H. Vadikesari Azhagiya Manavala Jeeyar Swamy of Kancheepuram, T.N. and H.H. Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, meet. On the 27th, the day of Thirunakshatram(birth day) of our Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, H.H. Vadikesari Azhagiya Manavala Jeeyar Swamy expressed His Mangalasasanams and support to Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for all His activities.
Many scholars expressed their joy for being part of this Thirunakshatrotsavam and gave discourses on these two great men and also on Deepavali. The chairman of JET Sriman P. Venkateswarlu, MD of Kakatiya Cement & Sugars Pvt. Ltd., paid his gratitude on this occassion and declared that his all services are put at the disposal of His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. He then presented a momento to Kumari Ushasri, who is person in-charge of Astakshari Kshetram in Badrinath, U.P., India. Goddess Godadevi (Andal) of Srivilliputtur sent Her Divine message and Mangalasasanams to His Holiness along with two of Her Divine Parrots. All the students performed padapuja at the end of the function.
On the day of the convocation, Sriman Ch. Vidyasagara Rao, Minister for State Home Affairs, Govt. of India, who was also the Chief Guest for the function, reached the Ashram in the evening at 4.50 P.M. He was received with Purnakumbha Swagatham by Vedic Students and JET Committee Members. He offered Pranams to H.H. Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for blessings before starting the function.

Sriman Vidyasagara Rao garu unveiled the first of the four books on the Mythrayani branch of Yajurveda. This book is published by Jeeyar Educational Trust. His Holiness graced the certificates with His Signature. Sri Vidyasagar Rao honored the four Mythrayani Graduates with shawl, golden Tulasi Mala and a purse of Rs. 50,000/- as gratuity. The recipients are Sriman Ranganadhacharyulu, Sriman K.Varaprasadacharyulu, Sriman G.Krishnamohanacharyulu, Sriman D.Rajagopalacharyulu and also Rigveda sakha graduate Sriman Raghavacharyulu.
H.H. Sri Sri Sri Swami varu blessed many dignitaries including Guru Sriman Ramachandra Joshi(Nanaji), Ms.Daniala, Sriman Ch.Vidyasagara Rao, Guru G.Parameswara Deekshitar. Sriman Vidyasagara Rao presented shawl to Guru Sriman Ramachandra Joshi(Nanaji) and Sriman P.Venkatacharyulu. Sriman Koteswar Rao (C.I.of Police), Sriman Ramachandraiah(C.I.of Police) are honoured on the day for their services in 1993. The students later celebrated of Deepavali in the Ashram.
