Under the guidance of HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji, "Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum" program was launched at Warangal. Devotees from more than 1000 villages, who earlier collected the Kalasas, brought them to the venue after performing Pujas. People in a village, chanted a nama allotted to them, from Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam, atleast as many number of times as that of the number of nama, each time picking atleast a grain, or handful of grain. A number of discourses , Bhajans etc., were also conducted long before the final Kalasabhishekam. The grain thus collected was put into the Kalasam, a pot, which was brought for the last day's Abhishekam. Thus, Kalasas from different villages were brought to the venue by the respective villagers, chanting and singing the names of Lord Krishna. Thousands of devotees participated in the Sobha Yathra ie., Main Procession of our Lord. People representatives, and lakhs of devoted villagers from more than 1008 villages enthusiastically participated in this program. The only binding string for all these flowers in that huge collection was their pure Love towards Lord in the form of HH Sri Swamiji.
A free veterinary camp was conducted during the program in which hundreds and thousands of cattle were treated freely by a group of doctors. If we remember, it is here, a record breaking event of free veterinary camp in which more than 4000 cattle were treated during a separate Veterinary camp recently. They tried to repeat the exercise. Free Homeo Treatment camps were also conducted during this program. The program was wonderfully conducted by the Warangal/Hanamkonda Vikasatarangani Volunteers.
In Gudivada, Second Krishnamvande Jagadgurum program was conducted. HH was received in a most delightful manner, hearts filled with devotion and Love towards God. Every day Sri Rama Nama bhajans were conducted by HH Sri Swamiji and also Sankshepa Ramayana Parayana was conducted.
Veterinary Camp was conducted during the program and preventive medicines were also distributed to those farmers, along with instructions and care to be taken about cattle. On 17th , villagers carrying 108 Kalasas reached the venue and Kalasabhishekam was conducted to the Lord by HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji. More than 15000 people participated in Thadiyaradhana (taking food) program.
There was marvellous reponse from the people around Suryapet for the call of Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum program. The devotion and dedication as taught by our elders is continuing its glory which can be seen in villages which were not much culminated with the mask of civilization. Their pure heart and straightforwardness is so laudable that it needed to be cultivated by one and all.
People from more than 1008 villages thronged into the site to hear discourses of His Holiness and participate in the Abhishekam program. Their hearts melted and got fused with one another. The signs of attitudinal harmony and the feeling of unity and integrity, irrespective of their occupations and status of their living, were seen in them. The surprising change was highly appreciated by the Commissioner of Endowments and also by the Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams, Tirupathi in their respective messages. Blessed are the souls who abide by and follow the ways taught by our Rishis and Acharyas for harmonious and happy living.
Thousands of cattle were brought to the exhibition. A number of cattle were diagnosed and treated freely in the Veterinary camp organised during the session. Bhajans and Parayanas were conducted by the groups of people for the sake of Universal well being. Every day all the attendees were given prasadam (tadiyaradhana), as usual. The participation of people in systematically organising program is highly appreciated by HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji. This glory of this grand event left an indelible mark in the hearts of the participants and the Vikasatarangini volunteers.
Ugadi was celebrated on 26th March in the presence of HH Sri Swamiji. With the Mangalasasanams of HH Sri Swamiji, Sri Rama Padukas were brought from 1008 villages by those respective villagers to "Ayodhya Maidan" in a most delightful and glorious procession that was never ever witnessed earlier by those people in their region. A great change was brought about in the attitude of those villagers of 1008 villages that integrated them for a Divine cause. This once again remembered the incidence of Sri Ramayana of how Bharatha, the next brother of Sri Rama, performed Paduka Pattabhishekam (enthroning the Lotus feet of the Lord) to the Padukas (Holy Footwear of Sri Rama) by installing them in Nandi Grama when Sri Rama decided to continue in exile. Sri Rama Navami was grandly celebrated on second of March. Thousands of devotees were fortunate enough to take part in the SriRama's marriage function performed by HH.
Dharmapuram, a very remote and last village of Srikakulam District on the border of Andhrapradesh, witnessed a grand program that was never known earlier. All the people of the village and the villages around joined and worked-out the program in a most wonderful way. We can imagine how grandly the program was organised in such a small village, if we know that everyday 50 to 55 quintals of rice was cooked for the sake of Tadiyaradhana to the participants in the program. People's involvement in the program understanding the motive of the program was really remarkable. It is a new place though… there was a movement in the hearts of people to unite and work for the sake of Peace and Prosperity, for the well being of all… as a service to Lord.
42 Bhajan groups from various villages took part in the program, who continuously recited the holy name of Sri Rama for all the 11 days all the 24 hours. 8 Bhajan groups (chekka Bhajana) who perform Bhajan with local wooden instruments, an ancient art of Indian villages, participated in this program for the sake of chanting Sri Rama Nama and that story. Everyday one village people used to take the catering section and used to take care of everything from preparing,cooking, serving upto cleaning. It is so organised and systematic that they worked so harmoniously and well upto the satisfaction of the participants. Thousands of villagers thronged to the venue to take part in the program and listen to the nectar message of HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji. They are all blessed !
A grand procession of HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji along with Perumal was conducted covering 10 villages. Villagers followed in tractors that were used by them in their farming. It's a great view to see villagers accompanying in tractors gone to the ultimate devotion singing the glory of Lord and the fragerance of Divinity was spread all over. Their hearts rhythmed with the holy names of Lord and His Darsan in the form of Sri Swamiji. It is a memorable event secreted in the hearts of each and every individual. The lands were sanctified, the air was sanctified and finally the hearts were sanctified. A great program, those villages are blessed with !
Devotees prostrated again and again, couldn't resist themselves, remembering the grace showered by HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji in conducting such a wonderful program during their life time.
