 DHANURMA:SAM  -  THIRUPPAVAI VRATHAM

This Year HH Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji is going to conduct Dhanurmasam at Khammam.  HH will reach there by 16th to commence the  programme.  Every evening there will be discourse by HH on that day's Thiruppa:vai Pa:suram.  All are welcome to enjoy the Divine shower !

HOW TO START ?

This Year Dhanurmasam is going to be started on 16th December.  Sun is entering into 'Dhanus' Ra:si (at 8.24pm). As, the auspicious Ma:rgazhi month is commencing in the night, during the day (16th), we should do A:ra:dhana as usual in the morning and offer Ba:la Bho:gam (Breakfast) to the Lord  and let Him rest.  Thirumanjanam / Abhishe:kam may be offered to Lord and Alanka:ram also may be done to Lord in the evening, BEFORE the Sankramanam time.  After Sankramanam, ie. after 8.24 pm,  Go:da: Ashtoththara Pu:ja and Se:va:ka:lam should be performed and first Pa:suram should be recited as His offering.  Then Ra:ja Bho:gam (Full Meal) is offered to the Lord.  Then all the other procedure should be followed as usual.

                  On 17th,  during early hours, A:ra:dhana is to be performed and Havis (Pongal) is offered to Lord.  We may take that as Prasadam.  Then..... Only after Sun Set, we can take little prasadam.  Thus, it is done every day.  Much detailed A:ra:dhana procedure is given in the book Dhanurma:sa Vratha Kalpam.
